Va homeless Program

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH)

This collaborative program between HUD and VA combines HUD housing vouchers with VA supportive services to help Veterans who are homeless, and their families find and sustain permanent housing. As of December 20, 2020, HUD has allocated more than 105,000 vouchers to help house Veterans across the country.


To become eligible for supportive housing, individuals and families must be assessed through San Francisco's Coordinated Entry system.

Hope Harbor is the largest shelter in Lodi which can accommodate women with children, men, and single-family units. It is also the only shelter in the area that can house single fathers with children. Clients may stay 56 nights per calendar year with an option for a 28-day extension should they enter into case management.

Sustaining Families. They are a state listened chemical dependency program for the single parent (mothers or fathers) homeless families seeking self-sufficiency


Health and wellness: case management, counseling, support groups, access to healthcare, referrals and more

Housing: emergency housing, transitional and permanent supportive housing, eviction prevention, housing placement services and rental assistance. 

Legal: Free attorney support to access VA disability compensation and pension, access to free VA healthcare and military discharge upgrades. 

Jobs for vets: Job development, access to industry networks, paid training opportunities.
